Vintage 1960s Hand-Painted Wooden Drummer Angel Christmas Ornament MCM 2.75 In
✨ Cabinet Curiosity No. 435 | The Little Wooden Drummer
Mid-century Christmas trees were often brought to life by whimsical, handcrafted wooden ornaments that celebrated traditional folk artistry. Carved from solid turned wood and hand-painted with bright mid-century enamel colors, these charming musical angels remain timeless favorites for vintage holiday collectors.
Standing approximately 2 3/4 inches tall, this delightful vintage wooden angel ornament features a classic turned-wood ball head with painted red hair, rosy cheeks, and simple dot eyes. Her tapered conical body is hand-lacquered in vibrant cherry red and fitted with flat wooden wings detailed with stenciled golden feather accents (IMG_2675).
With tiny pink wooden hands clutching delicate wire drumsticks, she taps away at a hand-painted yellow-and-white snare drum mounted right across her red gown (IMG_2671). Fitted with a simple gold cord loop at the crown for hanging, she is a sweet and spirited addition to any retro holiday bough.

A Note About Vintage Items & Their Little Crimes
Many of the treasures at Honeyblue Hollow come from estate sales, flea markets, and consignment shops where interesting things wait to begin their next chapter. Because they existed long before they found me, their pasts are checkered.
Vintage means used: Expect honest, authentic character consistent with age and previous love.
The Smell & Storage Factor: My workspace is pet-friendly and smoke-free. Buyers with extreme sensitivities should review the full Vintage Items & Allergens note in my Shop Announcement.
