Large Vintage Christmas Serving Platter James 1:17 Tree Toys Gold 19 In
✨ Cabinet Curiosity No. 434 | The Scripture & Toys Noel Feast
When setting a holiday table for family and friends, an exceptional centerpiece serving platter anchors the entire tablescape. Measuring a substantial 19 inches long by nearly 13 1/2 inches wide, this oversized ceramic oval platter provides plenty of space for holiday roasts, baked hams, or a mountain of seasonal cookies.
The ivory-cream ceramic body features an elegant scalloped and embossed rim accented with gilded gold scrollwork corners and lush evergreen boughs tucked at the edges. The heartwarming center illustration depicts a heavily decorated Christmas tree surrounded by nostalgic vintage toys: a wooden rocking horse, a plush teddy bear in a rocking chair, a smiling doll, a sock monkey, wrapped presents, and a checkerboard game.
Gracefully scripted beneath the tree is the beloved scripture verse in flowing dark lettering: "Every Good Gift and Every Perfect Gift Is From Above. JAMES 1:17."
A meaningful, display-ready holiday serving piece that blends festive nostalgia with traditional Christian faith.

🔍 Specifications, Materials & Condition
Measurements
Length: Approximately 19" across long axis
Width: Approximately 13 1/2" across short axis
Depth: Approximately 1 1/2" rim lip
Materials: Glazed ceramic, gold enamel.
Condition Transparency: Good vintage condition. The large platter is structurally sound, stable, and completely free of chips, cracks, or structural breaks. The glaze exhibits overall, uniform age crazing across the surface (visible in close-up raking light), which gives it an authentic antique character. The central holiday illustration remains crisp, colorful, and unfaded, with minor, expected rubbing to the metallic gold trim along the rim.
Care: Hand wash gently with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth to preserve the metallic gold rim accents. Not recommended for microwave or automated dishwasher use. Store cushioned in acid-free tissue paper inside a rigid box.
A Note About Vintage Items & Their Little Crimes
Many of the treasures at Honeyblue Hollow come from estate sales, flea markets, and consignment shops where interesting things wait to begin their next chapter. Because they existed long before they found me, their pasts are checkered.
Vintage means used: Expect honest, authentic character consistent with age and previous love.
The Smell & Storage Factor: My workspace is pet-friendly and smoke-free. Buyers with extreme sensitivities should review the full Vintage Items & Allergens note in my Shop Announcement.
Storied Vintage. Curated with Intention.
