Vintage Shiny Brite Red Glass Ornaments Set of 3 Silent Night Church Stencil 2.5 In

✨ Cabinet Curiosity No. 430 | The Eisenhower Era Choristers

During the 1950s, Max Eckardt & Sons’ "Shiny Brite" ornaments reigned supreme in American households. Crafted from domestic silvered glass with machine-applied stencils, these luminous red and silver globes transformed family living rooms into nostalgic winter wonderlands.

Offered as a cohesive, graduated set of three (3) authentic mid-century blown-glass ornaments measuring approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter, this curated trio captures the absolute peak of postwar American holiday tradition:

The "Silent Night" Church Ornament: A rich cherry-red silvered globe stenciled in antique white with a peaceful country chapel beneath a glowing starburst sky, accented by the hand-lettered text "Silent Night."

The Alpine Village Panorama Ornament: Features a wrap-around stenciled snowy landscape complete with steep-roofed chalets and dense pine forests.

The Plain Cherry-Red Companion Ball: A deeply saturated, highly reflective solid red silvered glass sphere that anchors the grouping and adds stunning color saturation to the tree.

Crowned with classic silver-fluted metal caps and wire loops, this trio carries the mottled, oxidized silvering and authentic patina that only true mid-century glass can acquire over decades of holiday boxes and attic memories.

Condition Transparency: Very good authentic vintage condition. All three glass globes are structurally sound, completely free of cracks or structural breaks. As expected with genuine 1950s glass ornaments, inspection reveals honest, desirable vintage character including surface mottling, oxidation haze, minor scuffing, and finish thinning around the cap shoulders. The white stenciled church and village graphics remain crisp and legible.

Care: Handle with care by the metal cap and wire loop. Keep completely dry. Dust gently using a soft, dry artist brush or low-pressure air. Do not wipe with water or liquid cleaners. Store cushioned in acid-free tissue paper inside a rigid box between seasons.

A Note About Vintage Items & Their Little Crimes
Many of the treasures at Honeyblue Hollow come from estate sales, flea markets, and consignment shops where interesting things wait to begin their next chapter. Because they existed long before they found me, their pasts are checkered.

Vintage means used: Expect honest, authentic character consistent with age and previous love.

The Smell & Storage Factor: My workspace is pet-friendly and smoke-free. Buyers with extreme sensitivities should review the full Vintage Items & Allergens note in my Shop Announcement.
