During the late 1950s and 1960s, American holiday decorating experienced a colorful revolution. As flocked evergreens, white feather trees, and mid-century aluminum trees entered living rooms across the country, decorators looked beyond traditional red and green, falling head over heels for soft pastels, icy aqua, and luminous shades of pink.
Offered as a coordinated set of three (3), these authentic mid-century blown-glass ball ornaments measure approximately 2 1/4 to 2 3/8 inches in diameter (about 2 3/4 to 3 inches tall overall including hanging hardware).
Rather than the opaque, heavily silvered finish of standard mercury glass, these delicate globes are crafted from thin, featherweight blown glass coated in a semi-translucent colored lacquer. When hung near holiday tree lights, the glass catches the illumination from within, creating a warm, candlelit glow across the branches.

One (1) Deep Rose / Cranberry-Pink Ball: A richer, more saturated jewel tone that anchors the grouping.

Condition Transparency: Very good authentic vintage condition. All three glass globes are structurally sound, completely free of cracks or major breaks. The thin blown glass retains its glossy, luminous translucency. As expected with 60-year-old delicate lacquer-coated glass, inspection reveals honest vintage character including faint surface hazing, minor pinpoint finish spotting, and light age patina around the shoulders and neck collars. The gold-tone metal caps and wire hangers are intact, secure, and ready to hang.
Care: Handle with care by the metal cap and wire loop. Keep completely dry. Dust gently using a dry, soft-bristled makeup brush or low-pressure air. Do not wipe with water, alcohol, or liquid cleaners, which will remove vintage lacquer glazes. Store cushioned in acid-free tissue paper inside individual compartments of a rigid box.
