Vintage 2002 Bella Casa by Ganz Bella Rooster Cookie Jar Sunflower Canister Tuscan 9 In
✨ Cabinet Curiosity No. 423 | The Tuscan Sunrise Crock
In the early 2000s, kitchen decor celebrated the bold, sunny warmth of the European countryside. Characterized by golden ochre walls, rustic terracotta, and spirited barnyard motifs, ceramic studios embraced dramatic dimensional forms that served as proud functional centerpieces on open butcher-block islands.
Produced in 2002 by Ganz as part of their celebrated Bella Casa collection, this lidded ceramic cookie jar features the beloved, retired "Bella Rooster" pattern. Standing approximately 8 1/2 to 9 inches tall to the top of its domed lid knob, the jar is molded in a generous bulbous silhouette measuring 7 1/2 inches across the belly.
The pottery combines hand-painted folk artistry with raised sculptural elements. Across the warm Tuscan yellow ground struts a bold, proud rooster, hand-painted with sweeping brushstrokes in inky black, scarlet red, and slate teal. Framing the upper rim is a textured band of deep-red relief basketweave, crowned by dimensional, sculpted 3D sunflowers that burst outward with lifelike petal texture.
Finished with graphic black accent rings and a matching yellow domed lid with a button knob, the jar brings vibrant energy to a French country, rustic farmhouse, or cottagecore kitchen. Turned over, the base bears the crisp impressed maker hallmark: "Bella Casa™ BY GANZ."
A cheerful, functional centerpiece for collectors of early-2000s Ganz pottery, country rooster decor, and vintage kitchen canisters.

A Note About Vintage Items & Their Little Crimes
Many of the treasures at Honeyblue Hollow come from estate sales, flea markets, and consignment shops where interesting things wait to begin their next chapter. Because they existed long before they found me, their pasts are checkered.
Vintage means used: Expect honest, authentic character consistent with age and previous love.
The Smell & Storage Factor: My workspace is pet-friendly and smoke-free. Buyers with extreme sensitivities should review the full Vintage Items & Allergens note in my Shop Announcement.
