Long before modern Saturday morning cartoons were replaced by digital streaming, the mid-century holiday season was heralded by beloved Warner Bros. characters making their festive annual transition from the television screen to the family Christmas tree. Import workshops of the 1970s excelled in capturing the hyper-expressive, slapstick charm of original Looney Tunes animation using molded plastics, felt tailoring, and hand-painted mischief.
Offered as a nostalgically imperfect matched pair, this vintage set brings Porky Pig and his perpetual pursuer, Elmer Fudd, together for a much more peaceful holiday scene. Standing between 3 1/4 and 3 3/4 inches tall, both ornaments are built from lightweight molded plastic with original fabric costuming, paper back labels, and clear hanging loops.
Porky Pig is dressed as a festive drummer, wearing a red felt jacket, a green-and-white polka-dot bowtie, and white gloved hands holding tiny drumsticks above a red felt-wrapped marching drum with gold metallic braid. In classic cartoon fashion, he sports his natural bare pink-molded feet. His back retains the original period paper label, charmingly typeset as "PORKEY."
Elmer Fudd stands alongside him, fully outfitted for winter caroling in a reddish-brown felt top hat with a black band, a dark jacket, a white collar, and a red-and-white polka-dot necktie. He clutches a candy cane in his hand, looking uncharacteristically cheerful with his wide blue eyes and slight smirk. In true vintage slapstick fashion, Elmer is missing his left red shoe, leaving one bare plastic foot exposed.

Elmer Fudd is missing his left red shoe, exposing his bare pink-molded plastic foot. His right red shoe is intact. His original paper label "ELMER FUDD" remains on his back.
Porky Pig has both original bare plastic feet intact (as manufactured, without shoes). Both drumsticks and his red felt drum are attached. His rear paper label is intact with the vintage "PORKEY" spelling.
Light vintage fraying and glue marks on fabric clothing consistent with 1970s novelty manufacture.
