In the golden era of 1990s holiday collecting, Kristin Haynes and Cast Art Industries proved that Santa Claus did not need a formal velvet throne to command an audience. A lumpy toy sack tossed over a fluffy snowbank was more than enough.
Released in 1995 as the Fourth Edition in the annual Dreamsicles Christmas series, "Santa's Kingdom" stands as one of the most charming, heavily populated tabletop centerpieces the studio ever produced. Resting on a wide snowdrift base, Father Christmas sits relaxed against his overstuffed sack of toys, dressed in his classic red suit with deep crimson washes, heavy white textured fur trim, and a sculpted gold belt buckle. In his left hand he presents a freshly carved toy nutcracker soldier in a bright yellow coat and red hat, while his right mitten balances a small offering of holiday treats.
Gathered closely around him is a devoted miniature menagerie. Standing loyally at his side is an angelic Dreamsicles cherub adorned with a real dried-grass botanical wreath, scarlet fabric poinsettias, and ribbon trim. At Santa's sturdy black boots, five tiny woodland animals huddle together on the ice, including a soft tan bunny, a white mouse, a golden bear cub, and a pair of pastel companions, each crowned with the whimsical fuzzy hair tufts signature to 1990s Cast Art design.
A polished brass oval plaque is screwed directly to the front of the sack, identifying the piece as "SANTA'S KINGDOM / Fourth Edition 1995." Substantial, sculptural, and rich in storybook detail, it captures the warm storybook nostalgia of mid-1990s winter decorating.

Materials: Cold-cast art plaster composite, fabric ribbon, dried botanicals, faux fiber, brass plaque.
Condition Transparency: Very good vintage condition with lovely character. The large sculpted figures, Santa's textured beard, the nutcracker toy, and delicate cherub wings are intact with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The dried botanical wreath and red fabric poinsettias are well preserved with light natural vintage edge fraying. The fuzzy animal tufts are wispy and slightly flattened from careful storage. The cherub displays a few tiny red production paint speckles on her face and torso, and the small bunny shows faint brown pinpoint specks in the paint. The polished brass plaque is securely screwed in place and bright.
Care: Dust gently using a dry, soft-bristle artist paintbrush. Do not clean with water or liquid cleaners, as the matte composite material and natural botanicals are porous.
