Long before modern lapels embraced understated metals, holiday gatherings in the late twentieth century called for unapologetic sparkle pinned directly to the collar of a heavy winter coat or a jewel-tone wool sweater.
This vintage Christmas wreath brooch captures traditional holiday pageantry with a balanced mix of vivid enamel and iridescent crystal. The cast silver-tone frame is formed into a puffed, scalloped circle divided into four beaded quadrants. Set into each textured section are three aurora borealis (AB) rhinestones, each treated with the classic iridescent vapor coating that flashes prismatic flecks of ice blue, rose pink, and golden yellow whenever caught by ambient light.
Anchoring the lower rim is a dimensional, two-piece cast bow finished in rich cherry-red cold enamel. Outlined in beaded silver milgrain, the bow centers around a thirteenth, slightly larger aurora borealis stone nestled directly into the knot. Secured with a classic locking rollover clasp, it offers just the right amount of vintage festive cheer without weighing down your fabric.

Condition Transparency: Very good vintage condition with honest, age-appropriate character. All 13 aurora borealis rhinestones are present, intact, and retain bright prismatic fire. The red enamel on the bow is smooth and glossy with no chips or flakes. The silver-tone base metal shows natural vintage darkening and surface patina, primarily concentrated in the recessed cast channels and along the back plate. The reverse reveals original ambered production adhesive around the structural bow mounting posts. Pin mechanism is straight and the rollover clasp closes firmly.
Care: Wipe gently with a dry jewelry polishing cloth. Do not immerse in liquid jewelry cleaners or water, as moisture can compromise vintage foil-backed rhinestones and aged settings.
