Long before amber became prized in high jewelry salons, trade routes across the Baltic Sea carried this golden organic gem as a sacred stone of warmth and protection.

Among collectors, "butterscotch" or "egg yolk" amber represents the most desirable variety of all. Unlike translucent honey or cognac stones, butterscotch amber is opaque, silky, and richly variegated with natural swirls of custard yellow, warm apricot, and creamy honey tones.

This handcrafted vintage sterling silver link bracelet showcases seven bezel-set oval butterscotch amber cabochons, each linked by solid hinged architectural bar joints. The open-back settings allow light to pass through the underside of each stone, highlighting the swirling cloud-like patterns natural to Baltic pine resin fossilized over forty million years.

Anchoring the bracelet at the clasp is an impressive freeform butterscotch amber focal stone measuring over an inch long. Set in a heavy silver bezel crowned with a sculpted botanical cluster of silver leaves, it hangs as a substantial charm beside the spring ring closure. Condition Transparency: Very good vintage condition with rich authentic patina. The 925 hallmark is clearly stamped on the reverse rim of the top link bezel. The seven oval cabochons and large focal charm are securely seated in their bezels with smooth glossy faces. The reverse of the stones displays natural microscopic surface pitting and internal swirl variations inherent to organic fossil resin. The sterling silver shows light vintage surface wear and gentle patina consistent with age. Spring ring clasp opens and closes securely.
