In the late 1980s and early 1990s, accessorizing a high-collared blouse or a tailored winter blazer required a long necklace that hung with quiet authority well past the collarbone.
This unsigned costume piece delivers that classic silhouette, pairing a uniform single strand of luminous faux pearls with an organic botanical pendant.
The Anatomy & Architecture
The necklace features a continuous strand of small, uniform 5 to 6 mm faux pearls strung tightly without individual knotting, a hallmark of clean 1980s production.
Suspended from the chain is a statement pendant measuring roughly 1.5 inches long.
A large 14 to 16 mm cream faux pearl sits cradled between two textured gold-tone metal leaves that sweep upward into a scrolled bail, topped with one final tiny pearl accent.
The pendant functions as a slide-on enhancer, meaning it can be removed from the chain to wear the pearl strand on its own or transfer the drop to another favorite chain.
A secure spring-ring clasp fastens the necklace, accompanied by a small oval tag near the closure.
