The glassblower who made this vase was having absolutely none of that.

Legend says that on a fateful Tuesday afternoon in 1982, the artist stood before rows of vibrant glass canes trying to choose a direction. Should the studio produce a sophisticated, moody Mediterranean cobalt vessel? A bold mid-century tangerine pop? A serene coastal turquoise?

After forty-five minutes of intense internal negotiation, the artist announced that life was too short for compromise, scooped up every single color on the workbench, and melted them all together at two thousand degrees.

The result is the Chromatic Indecision Protocol.

Created in the beloved Italian Murano tradition, this substantial art glass fan vase looks like a geological cross-section of pure joy.

The piece is crafted using the classic "a canne" method: dozens of individual ribbon canes in electric turquoise teal, saturated tangerine orange, bright marigold yellow, deep midnight cobalt, and crisp white pinstripes are fused and encased within a thick, substantial layer of clear lead-free crystal.

The form is just as bold as the colors.

Instead of a standard cylinder, the artisan flattened the molten gather into a sleek oval pillow shape, pulling and stretching the mouth into a dramatic, undulating fan rim that flares out over nine inches wide. The bottom is finished with a heavy, ground and polished circular base that gives the vase serious architectural stability.
