Made in Japan during the 1970s, this petite pull-string musical hanging piece brings that pure, unadulterated retro delight straight to your wall.

Housed in a warm brown molded casing, the front plate features a nostalgic illustration of three rosy-cheeked toddlers in denim overalls and pinafores clutching a basket of flowers while laughing uncontrollably.

At the top, a braided metallic gold cord allows it to hang from a small wall nail or shelf peg. Beneath the casing hangs a matching brown pull cord finished with a rounded bead handle.

Best of all, the internal mechanical movement is tested and working. Give the bottom bead a gentle pull, and as the cord retracts, the music box plays the sweet, jaunty melody of "Make Someone Happy" (the classic 1960 tune by Jule Styne, Betty Comden, and Adolph Green).
