Enter the Melodramatic Waterfowl.
Curving her neck into an impossible, theatrical S-curve, this swan does not merely float on a pond. She reclines with the swooning grace of a classic Hollywood starlet, casting her eyes downward beneath hand-painted golden eyelashes.
The colorwork is pure mid-century kitsch perfection. The body is airbrushed in a soft carnation pink that softly fades into warm ivory cream across her sculpted wings, accented by subtle washes of pale celadon green near the base.
Brushed across her raised wing primaries, swept tail feathers, and pointed beak are bright flashes of metallic gold luster that catch every bit of morning light.
