Vintage 1989 House of Lloyd Frosted Glass House Village Candle Holder Boxed
✨ Cabinet Curiosity No. 318 | The Three-Plex on Ice
Before online shopping existed, holiday decorating required suburban espionage.
In 1989, your mom or aunt disappeared on a Tuesday night to an undisclosed living room down the street, drank spiced cider from a punch bowl, and flipped through the sacred catalog of House of Lloyd's Christmas Around the World.
Weeks later, a cardboard box arrived containing heavy, mysterious holiday magic.
This three-unit frosted glass townhouse block is pure 1989 direct-sales gold. Molded in thick, satin-finished frosted glass, it depicts three European canal houses blanketed in fresh winter snowfall. The relief detailing is remarkably crisp: arched dormers, stepped Dutch gables, brickwork facades, and snowdrifts banked high against the foundation.
The real show happens when dusk settles.
Behind the facade sits a molded shelf with three recessed circular candle cups sized for standard tealights or votive candles. When you light them, the thick frosted glass catches the flames and scatters warm, flickering light directly through the mullioned windows and doorways. It looks like an entire cozy village neighborhood enjoying dinner on a freezing December evening.
Best of all, this piece comes complete with its original 1989 full-color retail box and custom-fitted styrofoam insert. While most vintage glass decor spent thirty years chipping its corners in loose storage totes, this village spent the off-season resting safely inside its factory packaging.
The glass is in pristine vintage condition with completely smooth gables, sharp chimney corners, and zero chips or cracks. The underside retains the original factory paper label alongside the embossed 1989 House of Lloyd copyright mark.
Center it on a holiday dining table, style it along a fireplace mantel nestled in fresh cedar boughs, or let it bring gentle, glowing warmth to a winter windowsill.

A Note About Vintage Items & Their Little Crimes
Many of the treasures at Honeyblue Hollow come from estate sales, flea markets, and consignment shops where interesting things wait to begin their next chapter. Because they existed long before they found me, their pasts are checkered.
Vintage means used: Expect honest, authentic character consistent with age and previous love.
The Smell & Storage Factor: My workspace is pet-friendly and smoke-free. Buyers with extreme sensitivities should review the full Vintage Items & Allergens note in my Shop Announcement.
