Vintage Brass Menorah Star of David Hanukkah Candelabra Judaica 12 In

Vintage Brass Menorah Star of David Hanukkah Candelabra Judaica 12 In

✨ Cabinet Curiosity No. 314 | The Shamash and the Restless

As the shamash candle in a traditional nine-light menorah, it's essentially the graveyard shift of holiday decor.

While the other eight candles get to take turns resting, the helper candle perches at the top of the central column, looking down over the Star of David like a tired camp counselor trying to keep eight energetic kids from setting fire to the curtains. It works every single night of the festival without a single day off.

Standing an impressive 11 3/4 inches tall, this vintage brass hanukkiah brings genuine architectural weight to the tabletop.

Cast in solid brass with an openwork Magen David (Star of David) anchoring the central stem, it features eight sweeping, textured branches that mirror classical European temple designs. Each arm terminates in a flared tulip-shaped candle cup with a wide drip collar, sized specifically for standard Hanukkah candles.

Turn it upside down, and you will see the authentic foundry construction: a heavy, stepped octagonal pedestal weighted to keep the entire candelabra steady on a crowded holiday table, anchored by a traditional central threaded rod.

Best of all, this piece wears its history proudly. Rather than being stripped down with chemical polish, it retains a warm, glowing golden patina accented by natural surface tarnish and gorgeous green verdigris settling into the cast joint crevices.

Station it on a sideboard for the Festival of Lights, display it year-round as a soulful piece of brass Judaica, or let it bring warm, sculptural presence to a curated bookshelf.
