Most wall organizers are cold, metal wire baskets that politely remind you of your unpaid electric bill.

This gentleman operates on a completely different postal philosophy.

Produced in the mid-1990s for the beloved WinterWind FolkArts line by Midwest Importers of Cannon Falls, this dimensional wall sculpture proves that if you grow your beard out long enough, it officially becomes municipal storage.

Instead of the standard glossy mall Santa with neon-red polyester, this piece channels deep, Old World Father Christmas folklore. His face looks like it was whittled straight out of a weathered birch log, complete with soulful hand-painted blue eyes, heavy furrowed brows, and a magnificent mustache.

Perched on top of his rustic bark cap are two bright red cardinals nesting among holly leaves and berries, looking down at his face like landlords inspecting an unconventional tenant.

The real genius, however, is the beard. The front whisker curls swoop outward into a substantial three-inch hollow pocket. Back in the nineties, this was engineered to hold incoming holiday greeting cards from relatives you only hear from in December. Today, it makes an incredible wall-mounted vessel for cedar sprigs, vintage postcard collections, wrapped cinnamon sticks, or spare mailbox keys.
