Vintage Decoupage Autumn Leaves & Mold-Cast Green Grape Pedestal Vase
Picture a maker in the late 20th century looking at a mold-cast ceramic pedestal base, looking at a roll of printed autumn leaf decoupage paper, and declaring: "Why choose between ceramics and paper craft when we can build a franken-vase masterpiece?"
Behold the ultimate multi-media composite piece.
The tall cylindrical neck is wrapped in a vibrant, printed autumn oak leaf decoupage design sealed beneath a smooth, glossy protective topcoat. Grounding the vase is a heavy mold-cast ceramic pedestal base finished in a mottled matte green glaze and sculpted with raised relief grape clusters and trailing vines.
The real party trick is on the underside: the bottom of the green ceramic foot features a shallow, glaze-flooded "509" shape number alongside faint script. Because this foot was cast directly from a mold taken off a separate vintage ceramic item, those original handwritten markings duplicated into a faint ghost impression on this base.
The bottom also carries subtle glue remnants from the circular black felt protector pad that originally kept it from scratching coffee tables during Thanksgiving dinners.
It is quirky, dramatic, completely honest about its composite identity, and ready to bring instant autumn energy to your mantel.

Condition: Good vintage condition. Decoupage wrap is completely intact with bright, rich colors and a smooth topcoat. The green ceramic base has zero structural cracks or chips. Underside shows glaze flooding over the ghost mold mark and minor glue remnants from its original protective felt pad.
