These two mid-century white porcelain angels have been locked in an eternal, puckered-lip standoff since the mid-1970s, leaning toward each other for a cheek-to-cheek smooch that never quite ends.
First, let us clear up an immediate mystery: if you look closely at the girl angel's head, you will notice a curved porcelain piece extending above her hair bow. Do not panic. She did not sprout a celestial Wi-Fi antenna, nor is it a tragic factory flaw. That is the neck and scroll of her vintage violin, held tucked beneath her chin while she serenades her boyfriend.
Her paramour leans in from the right, holding a miniature harp and looking equally smitten.
