Vintage 1950s/60s Bubblegum Pink Ceramic Donkey & Cart Planter
Look into this little donkey's eyes. That is the face of a creature that has been pulling a wagon three times its size since 1955 without a single union break, water stop, or salary raise.
And what is it hauling? A giant, empty wooden-plank cart waiting to be loaded with soil and succulents.
This mid-century novelty planter is pure 1950s kitsch perfection. Finished in a glossy rose-pink glaze that pools beautifully in the molded harness straps, spoked wheels, and textured ground base, it looks like it trotted straight off a retro kitchen windowsill.
The cart itself forms a deep, sturdy planting basin that is ideal for small indoor house plants, propagation cuttings, or simply sitting empty on a shelf as a monument to stubborn pastel determination.
