Vintage Mid-Century Japanese Ceramic Kitten-on-Cart Figurine (Attributed to Nippon Yoko Boeki)

This mid-century figurine captures that exact royal energy: a fluffy white kitten perched triumphantly atop a rustic wooden cart, looking out over her kingdom with zero intention of doing any physical labor.
Imported from Japan during the 1950s or 1960s, this glazed ceramic piece features a hand-painted clover-in-wreath stamp on the underside, attributed to the Nippon Yoko Boeki Trading Company.
The detail work is delightful, from her molded textured "fur" and soft pink inner ears to her dark eyes, orange nose, and painted whiskers. The base is sculpted and painted to mimic weathered wooden planks and iron-bolted cart wheels.
