Vintage Hull Pottery Brown Drip "Cookies" Jar (House 'n' Garden Line)
In the 1970s and 80s, when a ceramic jar explicitly spelled out the word "Cookies" in raised cursive script across its front, it was a legally binding contract with the entire household. You did not use this jar to hide flour, sugar, or grandma's button collection. It held chocolate chip cookies, molasses crinkles, or those crunchy oatmeal cookies that somehow tasted like retro nostalgia.
Crafted by the renowned Hull Pottery Company in Crooksville, Ohio, this covered jar features Hull's iconic House 'n' Garden brown-drip glaze. The rich, glossy reddish-brown body cascades into a warm cream and caramel drip around the flared rim and recessed lid.
Standing approximately 8.5 inches tall with its ribbed lid knob in place, this piece combines heavy-duty mid-century American stoneware craftsmanship with timeless rustic kitchen charm.

Dimensions: ~8.5" Total Height (Base to top of lid knob) x 7" Outer Rim Diameter x 6.5" Base Width.
Materials: Heavy Glazed Pottery / Stoneware Ceramic.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Glaze remains glossy with smooth interior surfaces. Shows minor, authentic vintage surface scuffs on the exterior body and light shelf wear on the unglazed foot ring consistent with age. Includes one tiny irregular spot on the bottom foot ring edge (a natural firing glaze pop or minor vintage flea-bite nick). Lid sits flat and flush.
