✨ Cabinet Curiosity No. 246
Vintage Mexican Red-Clay Floral Planter (Faux-Bois Folk Art)
Look, we both know how this story goes. You buy a delicate, high-maintenance houseplant with a name you can’t pronounce. You water it with filtered rainwater, whisper words of encouragement, and position it in "indirect sunlight."
Three weeks later, it looks like a pile of crispy regret.
This mid-century Mexican red-clay planter is here to break the cycle. Hand-painted with a giant white blossom, bold red center, and sweeping dark green foliage over a warm, wood-grained brown finish, this thing has survived over fifty years of vintage plant drama. It doesn't care if you forget to water your pothos for two weeks. It doesn't care if you drop a plastic hardware-store pot straight inside it because you're too lazy to re-pot. It just sits on your windowsill looking like a rustic piece of Mexican folk art while taking all the credit for your plant staying alive.
Stamped "MEXICO" on the base with an old handwritten inventory number ("249"), it’s heavy, indestructible, and ready for its next chapter on your plant shelf.

A Note About Vintage Items & Their Little Crimes
Many of the treasures at Honeyblue Hollow come from estate sales, flea markets, and consignment shops where interesting things wait to begin their next chapter. Because they existed long before they found me, their pasts are checkered.
Vintage means used: Expect honest, authentic character consistent with age and previous love.
The Smell & Storage Factor: My workspace is pet-friendly and smoke-free. Buyers with extreme sensitivities should review the full Vintage Items & Allergens note in my Shop Announcement.
