Vintage Solid Brass Frog Couple Figurine: Retro Park Bench Umbrella (Made in India)
$36.00 $40.00
✨ Cabinet Curiosity #224: The Unbothered Date
Curated for modern nerds and old souls.
These two frogs have apparently scheduled a romantic park date and flatly refused to let a little downpour ruin the mood.
Cast in solid brass and imported from India during the 1970s or 1980s, this delightfully unhinged sculpture features two long-legged, anthropomorphic frogs lounging side-by-side on a bench beneath a broad umbrella. With their relaxed postures, elongated webbed feet, and smugly satisfied facial expressions, they deliver pure retro charm and main-character energy.
The sculpture is assembled from multiple cast brass components, anchored by screws visible on the underside of the bench. It retains its warm golden glow along with authentic vintage patina. Whether placed on a desk, styled on a cottagecore bookshelf, or gifted for a brass wedding anniversary, this whimsical duo brings instant joy to any room.
Origin & Era: Made in India (Circa 1970s to 1980s).
Markings: Retains its original white paper foil sticker reading "MADE IN INDIA" on the underside.
Material: Solid Cast Brass with screw assembly.
Style: Whimsical Retro / Mid-Century Kitsch / Cottagecore Animal Decor.
Condition Disclosures:
Surface & Patina: Good vintage condition displaying an authentically aged brass patina, minor discoloration, light surface scratches, and production-era casting irregularities typical of hand-cast Indian brassware.
Structure: Umbrella pole, bench legs, and frog attachments remain firmly joined and intact.
Because these items have lived past lives, they arrive with authentic character consistent with their age and previous use. The items have been cleaned and freshened whenever safe, but their original environments remain unknown. Since scent perception is subjective, buyers with extreme sensitivities may choose to give items a light wipe upon arrival.
