Vintage Glazed Ceramic Songbird Pair Figurine, Mid-Century Cottagecore Decor
$40.50 $45.00
✨ Cabinet Curiosity #223: The Gossiping Lovebirds
Curated for modern nerds and old souls.
If your bookshelf needs a double dose of vintage romance (and a tiny bit of woodland drama), this pair of delightfully plump songbirds is sitting right where you left them.
Sculpted as a single connected piece and dating from roughly the 1950s to the 1970s, these two glazed ceramic birds are perched among dimensional branches, lush green leaves, pinecone-like details, and a massive yellow flower. They boast a rich glaze in warm tones of amber brown, cream, and honey, finished with cool blue undertone highlights that catch the light whenever the sun hits your display cabinet.
One bird sits puffed up with its wings slightly flared as if mid-story, while the other looks on with an expression of quiet skepticism. Whether displayed on a mantel, styled on a cottagecore desk, or added to a vintage botanical pottery collection, this woodland sculpture brings instant warmth and mid-century nature charm to your space.
Style: Mid-Century / Woodland Cottagecore / Botanical Ceramic Sculpture.
Era: Circa 1950s to 1970s.
Motif: Two songbirds on a branch with a yellow flower, green leaves, and pinecones.
Material: Glazed Ceramic Pottery.
Color Palette: Amber Brown, Cream, Yellow, Green, and Blue Highlights.
Condition Disclosures:
Crazing: Displays widespread, visible vintage glaze crazing throughout (especially across the birds), which is completely consistent with glazed ceramic bodies of this age.
Structure & Details: Checked closely! No obvious structural cracks, broken beaks, or repaired flower petals.
Usage Note: This is a solid decorative sculpture (not a planter or TV lamp).
Because these items have lived past lives, they arrive with authentic character consistent with their age and previous use. The items have been cleaned and freshened whenever safe, but their original environments remain unknown. Since scent perception is subjective, buyers with extreme sensitivities may choose to give items a light wipe upon arrival.
