Large Vintage Blue Spongeware Bowl, Stoneware Farmhouse Mixing Bowl, 7 Inches Tall
✨ Pantry Curiosity No. 155 | The Dough-Proofing Heavyweight
If you need a bowl capable of handling enough sourdough for a small commune or surviving a direct impact from a falling skillet, this 7-inch-tall spongeware behemoth is up to the task.
Crafted from thick, heavy stoneware in the late 20th century, this bowl features dense cobalt blue spongeware patterning over a warm cream clay body, topped off with a wide flared rim and a smooth cream-glazed interior.
While its profile, flared lip, and proportions mirror the iconic No. 305-12 dough bowls produced by Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery in Roseville, Ohio, its fully glazed base lacks an impressed mark, so we are keeping her listed as an unmarked farmhouse classic.
At a full 7 inches deep and roughly 12 inches across, it has the weight and thermal stability needed for heavy dough mixing, bread proofing, or holding a mountain of fresh orchard fruit on a kitchen island.
It arrives in exceptionally clean vintage condition with a glassy interior, free of heavy knife crazing or structural body cracks.
Add authentic country farmhouse style to your kitchen with this large vintage cobalt blue spongeware mixing bowl. Features heavy stoneware construction, flared rim, and classic sponge decoration.

Please review all high-resolution pictures for exact cosmetic details.
A Note on Vintage Character:
Like many authentic vintage items, this piece arrived with a faint hint of its previous life in storage. It has been carefully cleaned and freshened to the point where I no longer detect it. Because scent perception varies, buyers with extreme sensitivities may choose to give it a light wipe upon arrival. I clean and air out items whenever safely possible, but original environments are unknown. Please review the full Vintage Items & Allergens note in my Shop Announcement for more details.
