Whatever petty disagreement occurred fifty years ago remains completely unresolved, but thanks to the Japanese Sankyo wind-up mechanism inside the base, they are legally obligated to rotate together in perpetual harmony every time you turn the key.
Ann sits in her pink dress waving cheerfully at the wall, while Andy sits in his little sailor cap waving at the bookshelf. It is the ultimate passive-aggressive dynamic captured in cold-painted ceramic.
The wind-up musical mechanism inside the base still operates, slowly revolving the couple while playing a sweet retro nursery lullaby.

Condition:
Very Good vintage condition for a piece of this era. The internal Sankyo music box winds properly, plays music, and smoothly rotates the top figurine stage. The hand-painted surface shows light, natural age wear and minor paint flecks consistent with age as shown in photos. No chips, cracks, or repairs observed on the ceramic figures. Please review all high-resolution pictures for exact cosmetic details.
A Note on Vintage Character:
Like many authentic vintage items, this piece arrived with a faint hint of its previous life in storage. It has been carefully cleaned and freshened to the point where I no longer detect it. Because scent perception varies, buyers with extreme sensitivities may choose to give it a light wipe upon arrival.
