Vintage Metal Fire Truck, Hand-Painted Industrial Model, 14 Inch

✨ Cabinet Curiosity No. 059: The Yard Sale Fugitive
I found this truck at a yard sale strategically tucked beneath a blanket, as though someone had hidden it there until further notice.
I recognized the maneuver immediately. I used to do the same thing at HomeGoods until I realized everything there is mass-produced and there was no need to guard a decorative pumpkin like it was the last known artifact of an extinct civilization.
Whether someone intended to return for this truck remains unknown. What is known is that they did not return quickly enough.
Produced around 2006 to 2007, this substantial decorative semi-truck model depicts a classic long-nose tractor cab finished in deep red with a mustard-yellow stripe. Its distressed finish gives it the appearance of a truck that has already completed several questionable overnight deliveries and would prefer not to discuss the paperwork.
This is a decorative display model rather than a precision-scale replica. It would make an excellent addition to an industrial office, transportation collection, truck-driver gift display, garage, man cave, or shelf devoted to objects with more personality than strictly necessary.
Details & Measurements:
Brand/Maker: Unbranded / Unknown
Era: Estimated production 2006 to 2007
Size/Dimensions: Approximately 14 inches long
Material: Mixed metal and molded components with painted and antiqued finishes
Color: Deep red finish with mustard-yellow striping and antiqued silver, bronze, and black detailing
Features: Dual rear axles, six wheels, twin vertical exhaust stacks, side-mounted fuel tanks, mirrors, steps, front grille, headlights, hood ornamentation, a fifth-wheel coupling plate, a visible steering wheel, and decorative tools molded onto the cab roof. (Note: Trailer is not included).
Condition:
Great pre-owned display condition with a deliberately aged, distressed appearance. The truck's rustic finish features characteristic scratches, scuffs, darkened areas, and patina that perfectly suit its rugged vibe. Some smaller decorative components may appear slightly bent or uneven, which simply adds to its industrial charm. The wheels and moving parts are not represented as fully functional, as this is a decorative collectible and not recommended as a children’s toy. Please review all photographs carefully, as they represent the exact truck you will receive.
A Note About Vintage Items & Their Little Crimes:
Many of the treasures at Honeyblue Hollow come from estate sales, flea markets, and consignment shops where interesting things wait to begin their next chapter. Because they existed long before they found me, their past may have included pets, smoke, dust, or somebody’s grandmother who believed mothballs were a personality.
I go the extra mile to carefully clean, freshen, and air out items whenever safe and appropriate. My own workspace is pet-friendly and smoke-free. Because vintage materials can occasionally retain faint hints of their previous lives, buyers with extreme sensitivities should review the full Vintage Items & Allergens note in my Shop Announcement and consider a professional cleaning upon arrival. Basically: I will go the extra mile to prevent or reduce odors, but I cannot interrogate every vintage item about what it did in 1978.
Curated for Modern Nerds & Old Souls.
